The Gulf Coast Shell Club is a group of shell enthusiasts interested in all things shells - their environment, how and where to find them, their beauty, and their many uses.
We meet the second Tuesday of the month at 7p.m. (except June and December) at the Bay County Library.
898 W. 11th Street, Panama City, FL. 32401
We also arrange local field trips monthly, depending on the tides and weather.
Annual Dues: $8.00 individual or $12.00 for the family.
The Gulf Coast Shell Club was founded in 1980, by Bob Granda.
The club was founded with two primary goals in mind. The first, cataloguing the marine mollusks of the Florida Panhandle, and the second, to educate the public on their beauty and diversity.
We strive to meet this goal through our monthly meetings, our book, and our annual shell show.
Our logo is the Argopecten irradiant concentricus (Say, 1822). Common name: The Bay Scallop
